Teaching patient and her husband how to detect or feel for a true lump using my lump on my left arm.

To enable them to detect surface lumps in any part of the body, particularly the breast.

I also taught husband of patient so that he can assist his wife.

I have a lump on my left forearm which I think is a lipoma.  It has been there for more than 20 years now.  Patients have been asking me why I don’t have it removed.  I always answer that I am using it to teach patients and medical students.
