ROJoson’s Way – Minimalist and Vigilant Watchful Waiting Approach

ROJoson’s Way of Medical Management

Minimalist and vigilant watchful waiting approach promoting value-based health services and patient experience

When you call a person a minimalist, you’re describing their interest in keeping things very simple.
– A minimalist prefers the minimal amount or degree of something.
– A person who favors a moderate approach to the achievement of a set of goals.
– A person who offers no more than what is required or essential in the medical management.

The first minimalist physician in the history is Hippocrates, born around 450 BC, who diagnosed a liver abscess using minimum tools and technology.
As a minimalist physician, I usually do only what is required or essential in the medical management and I do things as simple as possible and still produce good results and quality outcomes.
I rely heavily on my physical examination and interview for symptoms for a diagnosis.
I do diagnostic tests only when needed. In case diagnostic tests will be done, I choose the simplest and cost-effective ones.  I use a benefit, risk, cost and availability comparison of all diagnostic options for the selection.  I advise the patients on the selection to get an informed consent, resulting in a shared decision-making (which contribute to patient experience).
For treatment, I choose the simplest and cost-effective ones.  I use a benefit, risk, cost and availability comparison of all treatment options for the selection.  I advise the patients on the selection to get an informed consent, resulting in a shared decision-making (which contribute to patient experience).
This minimalist with vigilant watchful waiting  usually results in value-based health care services for patients, meaning appropriate, effective, and safe health care services with good results and quality outcomes at reasonable cost.
This minimalist with vigilant watchful waiting resulting in value-based health care services contributes to patient experience. Patient experience is defined as “The. patient’s cumulative evaluation of the journey they have. with you, starting when they first need you and based on. their clinical and emotional interactions, which are shaped.” With valued-based health care services coupled with my holistic, professional and compassionate care, patient experience can easily be achieved.
